Most of the time it's no.
My mods are Open-Source and free to use. It is not intended to be, nor should be considered as, express permission nor an official license or authorization for you to create derivative works of my mods and projects.
Guidelines for using my mods and projects
However, there is nothing to stop you from contributing to one of my mods and I will greatly appreciate it.
If someone copies my mods, I will copy what I like from the copied mod, without mentioning the person who copied my mod and he will be banned from the forum.
For the mods of other modders, yes, you have to ask permission to each one, question of copyright...
Same thing here, those who copy the mods of other modders without their permission, they will be banned from the forum.
Also, having 50 versions of the same mods is not really useful for the players, create more confusion.
Btw, you can modified any mods from Vinfamy, he give permission to all.

My mods on LoversLab have the same version and content, maybe only the description of my mods are not up to date.
OR
Show me which mods you're talking about?

Just as an aside,
You can't literally copy a mod from a modder to make it your own.
BUT,
You can use a mod as a reference to create your own mod.
However, you will have to change the name of all variables to avoid creating a bug.
Example:
Let's say I'm a programming beginner and I want to create a mod to buy items in a store.
I look at what already exists in the game (so I don't create duplicate items), then I create what I think is missing in that store.
Then I look if a modder has created a mod similar to what I want to do.
If so, I check how he did it and create my mod in my own way.
Basically, you can use another mod as a reference but not to make your own or an identical mod.
This way, no one will come and bother you because you copied them.
Recommended: Create a unique mod, which does not exist!
Some ideas:
- Mods about sci-fi
- Mods about elf, vampire, orc
- Stories about fireman
