Rules before submitting your mod (These are of course in addition to the global forum rules):
  • Do not post your mods collection in one topic, make a separate topic for each of your mods.
  • Do not post duplicate mod or something not made by yourself.
  • Please include the mod version number in the title, NOT the game version.
  • If you have a 'cover image', with a max file size of 500KB. All cover image should be uploaded directly to the server, do not use third party image hosts.
  • You must provide 1 or more mirrors where possible, using only Approved File Hosts.
  • You must only use the Approved Image Hosts for all of your screenshots.
  • Ensure your title use the correct prefix (1 prefix maximum), lpmod.. or ForMods/Onhold where appropriate.
  • Please ensure mods are properly tagged (0 to 5 tags maximum), tags should only include content which is currently inside the mod.
  • Upload your mod/preset/room in the right category.
  • Any older mod versions should be removed from the forum except when no newer version is available.
  • We are not responsible, if someone copies / posts your mod without your consent, the best we can do is remove the faulty mod and sanction the member if they reoffend.

Suffix Definitions:
[Onhold]: The mod has been confirmed to be on hold by the developer. Go at the end of your title.
[ForMods]: The mod has been confirmed as copyright free by the developer. Go at the end of your title.

Prefix Definitions:
[LpMod]: for mods

Mod = lpmod
Unique mod (not overriding anything) must to be submitted here:Mods for LifePlay by choosing the right category, if no category fit for your mod, choose others.

For posting your mod, it's here: Mods for LifePlay

If your mod only adding new presets/rooms, create a lpaddon instead or a pack.

Regarding Mods (lpMod)
  • Thread titles should follow exactly the "Template" below, we are tired of correcting the titles of senior modders and even other staff. The title template should always be "[LpMod] MODNAME [VERSION Nº] [AUTHOR]" when you upload in mod section.
Example: "[LpMod] WeedBiz [v1.0.9] [Raddeck]" or "[LpMod] WeedBiz [26-10-2021] [Raddeck]"
  • Ensure to follow the LifePlay syntax for your coding.
  • If the mod you want to share is a reworks of an old or discontinued mod, you need the author's permissions to take over their work before submitting it. If the creator is gone, you have permission until the creator returns.
  • If the mod is abandoned/hiatus update the suffix tag to reflect this (add the corresponding suffix tag).
  • When updating your mod, please check the content, version number and add new information if possible, so the player knows what content came after and it makes it easier to update.
  • Backgrounds, tools, tutorials, and anything else that doesn't need an lpmod file to work shouldn't be posted to the mod section, only mods. Each type of modification has its own category.
  • Mods that require other mods should have hyperlinks to those other mods (if possible).
  • Mods that complement other mods are not accepted except for a few exceptions. Main reason for refusal: not maintained, quickly abandoned, poorly coded duplicate content, ...
  • Mods that compliment other mods from the same modder are accepted and should have a hyperlink to the main mod.
